Museum board cradles ONLINE

I've been promising for a while to do the cradle class online so here it is! Register for the waiting list if it fills up because if there are enough people I'll add another session. Booking is through Eventbrite here.

We will cover determining safe opening angles, how much to tilt, how to construct basic museum board cradles for open and closed books, accommodations for special shapes, and how to make the wedge to tilt. These cradles are economical (I can generally make mine out of mounting scraps, depending on the size of the book), quick (30–45 min once you get going), easy to customise, and recyclable/compostable. You'll be given notes to remind you about the measurements.

The class will be on Zoom with 3 cameras so you can see it from different angles. I can't promise it will be beautiful but hopefully it will allow more people participate. Be prepared to turn your video on and talk so it's not boring for everyone! I'll email the Zoom link and embed it here in January.

No experience necessary but you'll need a small book to make it for and basic kit: cutting mat, knife, glue, etc. If you don't have mountboard kicking about try asking a local framer for some off-cuts.
