sort sorter
A little Excel file that you can use to inventory your type for blocking and check whether you have enough of each sort for what you want to block. I keep a tab for each font I have in the studio. You can add more sorts in A if you need to, then put quantities in B. (You just need to do this once for each font, and save for later). When you’re ready to plan your work, enter the text you want to block in the yellow highlighted box. C will populate with the number of each sort needed and highlight in pink the sorts you don’t have enough of. It is not case sensitive but I haven’t tested it for accents/ligatures yet!
